What do you do in your life (work and fun)?

I’m actress presenter, lately producer and first of all I’m Michele York’s mom. Im also Domenico Vacca’s wife muse and business partner. It’s a lot I know (laugh)… But I have a lot of fun being Eleonora! I do I love what I do. Everything I do its made with passion and attention. Family is my oxygen, stage and microphone are my magic powers, my bag is bigger than Mary Poppins’s bag. My last projects: ‘The Contract’ with Kevin Spacey will be released in US movie theaters, ‘Costanza’ a tv series on Rai Italian channel, ‘Woman evolution’ a short movie/commercial that I have produced, directed and played as the main actress. You can check it on Youtube. In the free time I love watching movies, walking, boxing and baking cakes.

What made you leave Italy and choose New York.

I came from a very small town Foligno in the green heart of Umbria region. A country side girl riding horses and dreaming those big cities of fashion like Milan, Paris and New York. Since I was a teenager I have always dreamed of New York, that was the pinnacle of my dream. I have watched many movies about the city. In my mind used to be two countries at the opposite: USA and Australia. Then when my modeling agency proposed me for a short time job in Miami my dream came true. After a very short time in Miami I moved to NY at the beginning for a stage about my university thesis, then as a model and to study acting. From that moment my life changed! I felt in love with NYC, the architecture, the vibes, the opportunities, NY is like a man that you will love forever. Immediately I felt that NYC would be the city that will change forever my life. I had the vision of what is my present today!

Please share your best memory in the City.

Too hard to choose just one memory of NY. NY is the movie set of my life, Im crying thinking about some moments in NY, in Central Park I have many memories, at the big lake with boats during a photo-shooting, at the Rockefeller Center during Christmas holidays while snow came down, the Thanksgiving Macy’s Parade from the terrace of my apartment was a tradition every year, having for breakfast neighbors and best friends. I started to know and love this holiday and autumn right in NY! Another amazing moment is NY in a cold, beautiful and sunny day in January 15th during the day I said “YES” to my husband Domenico Vacca. But the best memory ever I have in NY is when I went to the top of the Edge building for the first time and I started crying with no reasons. It was three years ago and I felt it that I was pregnant. After ten years of NYC and after all… does make sense that my baby’s name is Michele York?

What made you choose this specific location and outfit for the photoshoot?

Los Angeles is the city where I studied acting for a period, it’s the city where I came for work very often. I have many friends here, the weather and the “Californication” vibes are amazing. For the outfit I chose two of my favorite styles that represent my personality: elegant and classy and the other is rock and sexy. I chose Domenico Vacca’s black and white polka dot dress for a classy and elegant style. And for the other I chose a dress from Galit Levi that is one of my favorite couture designer. I have chosen Galit Levi for several occasions including Gala’s red carpet in New York and Los Angeles.

Your thought about this project, Italiany.us

Let’s rock! Italians do it much better! I think that Italiany.us is a deserved tribute to our beautiful country that generated such incredible talents! It’s a kind of documentary of lives, it’s a portrait, it’s an art work like a puzzle of thousands of colors of everyone of us, Italians, came from the north to the south from the mountains to the sea, different for roots and DNA, but so similar for the love, the nostalgia and sacrifices that we involved in our lives. Alexo the author and director of this project is a real artist with a very sensitive and deep soul. Grazie Alexo for the beautiful shooting and the fun we had it in Rodeo drive!

How would you describe being an ambassador of the Italian style/culture abroad?

Since I was a little girl friends used to call me: “la ragazza con la camicia- the girl with the shirt’ cause I believe that there is no other outfit like that, to give a perfect balance of sartorial and fashion. I would describe myself as Ambassador, as a balanced figure of authenticity, elegance, sensuality and class in a very Italian style, with a sparkling energy and the mission of promoting our Italian culture in the world.

What role would you like to win an Oscar for? Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

If I were to win an Oscar? Well, first of all let me catch my breath and pinch me to wake up. I would love to act in a movie with a very deep and real story. I would love to play a drama character, a story of a woman’s evolution and redemption. In this moment of my life being a mother gave me a lot of meaning, emotions, strength, sacrifice and joy. I am now more mature as woman and as an actress to play one the most difficult job of the world: being a mother. I would love to give a voice to those mothers that have suffered for illness, for their children, now like in the past during the world war. On the other side I would love to play a character from the fantasy world of the fairy tales. When I was a child I was in love with all the Disney characters, my favorite one being Mary Poppins and if I could go back in time, I would love to meet Walt Disney in person.
